Flights

There are a couple of airports near Barcelona that you can fly in to, however we recommend you fly into Barcelona–El Prat (BCN), as it's the closest airport to the city center.

Barcelona Airport Map

Barcelona–El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport (BCN)

Barcelona's main airport, sometimes referred to as El Prat, is Catalonia's largest, serving 50 million passengers in 2018. Dozens of airlines fly into BCN from destinations across five continents (Australia and Antarctica excluded), including a number of budget operators like EasyJet, Norwegian, Ryanair, and WizzAir. It's by far the most convenient airport to Barcelona's city center, located just six miles away and connected by multiple public transportation options.

Useful tips

  • You can take the metro from the airport to city center for €5.15 per person
  • A 15 minute taxi from the airport to town would cost around €25.
  • The Aerobús costs €6 one way and takes about 30 minutes to city center.

Hotels

When it comes to accommodation, there are a few choices such as hotels or AirBnb. Below we will list a few of the hotels we recommend, as well as the areas in which to stay to fully experience Barcelona. This applies even if you are looking to rent an AirBnb.

If you would like to book your own hotel or AirBnb we recommend you look near Eixample or the Gothic Quarter.

Please note the venue is in a remote location with limited public transportation. As such, we will be providing transportation from central Barcelona to the venue and back, therefore we recommend you book accommodation in central Barcelona.
